Kystbussen (the express bus service along Norways west coast between Bergen and Stavanger) began service in 1993 when four bus companies agreed to cooperate to give travellers along the route Bergen – Stord – Haugesund – Stavanger a new and better transport service. At present, Kystbussen is jointly run by the companies Veolia Transport Sør and Tide Reiser. Approx. 506 000 customers currently travel with Kystbussen each year.

When using Kystbussen, you travel fast and get a chance to enjoy glistening fjords, snow-covered peaks and idyllic small farms along Norways rugged, rocky West coast.

In Bergen, there are transport links to the north and east of Norway. and from Stavanger, you can travel south to Kristiansand and on from there to Hamburg in Germany. And lets not forget our guaranteed seating: everyone gets a seat, at all times!
